Time-Space Voyager

In the pages of Mongoose Publishing’s Signs & Portents issue 22, published in 2005, was my article ‘Time-Space Voyager’.

It uses Gareth Hanrahan’s OGL Horror as the basis for a serial-numbers-filed-off take on Doctor Who.

At this time, the Doctor Who RPG from Cubicle 7 was still a few years away, and the last Doctor Who game had been Time Lord from Virgin publishing a full decade in the past.

It’s a hefty article, ten dense pages full of rules and ideas converting the great OGL Horror to handle Doctor Who adventures. The horror genre fits quite well with the needs of Doctor Who, so it was a pretty good base to work from, and I enjoyed the formalist challenge of making it fun to have a high-level Doctor character alongside low-level companions.

Signs & Portents 22 is now available on DriveThruRPG. (I hope more of my S&P work will follow in due course!)
